Money

If you know in advance which places you're going to visit, you can find out online if and where there are ATM's where you can use your MasterCard and Cirrus or Visa to withdraw money.

Business Hours

Post Offices: Mo-Fri 8 AM - 6 PM, Sat 8 - 12 AM

Opening hours of stores in the countryside are somewhat confusing, on some days they're open 8 AM - 6 PM, on other days only from 8 AM - 2 PM. On Saturdays somtimes until 11 or 12 AM. It's different in every town and sometimes also within one town. Make sure you take a look at the opening hours, to avoid unpleasant surprises.

Maps

Euro-Cart 1:300.000 appeared reasonably dependable. In specialized stores (and in the country itself, much cheaper, in bookstores) you can find maps of parts of the country, by Kartografick 'y Praha 1:100.000. These are extremely detailed and definitely the best choice.

Accomodation

Many travel organizations and individuals offer vacation homes and farmhouses. It is much cheaper to go on the off chance. If you travel by car and you park somewhere to take a stroll, you'll often find notes that offer accomodation.
