Best time to travel

During the summer it gets really hot, making it less suitable for touring or an active vacation. Moreover, the island gets very crowded. Spring and Fall are better seasons to visit.

In France, ATMs are ubiquitous. Credit cards are used and accepted almost everywhere, including stores, restaurants, gas stations and toll road.

If you know in advance which places you're going to visit, you can find out online if and where there are ATM's where you can use your MasterCard and Cirrus or Visa to withdraw money.
