General

Bus # 2 takes you from WA Mozart Airport to the central train station in 20 minutes. All city buses stop there.

Consider buying a Salzburg Card: it gives you free entrance to all museums and discounts for some attractions. Public transportation is free as well (we didn't use it: everything is within walking distance).

Accomodation

In the city center are many small hotels with only a few rooms. On Charming Accommodation Salzburg you can book 40 hotels Bed & Breakfasts & apartements in Salzburg.

Hotel Reservation Desk Salzburg offers another 60 accommodations.

Via À la Carte Vacations Salzburg you can even book around 50 hotels in Salzburg.

Money

Austria belong to the European Union and has the euro as its currency. Bank (which close early) change money and there are ATMs (bancomat) everywhere.

If you know in advance which places you're going to visit, you can find out online if and where there are ATM's where you can use your MasterCard and Cirrus or Visa to withdraw money.
