A 14 km long towpath takes you along bridges, locks, old gas plants and other industrial landmarks. London's former trade artery no longer carries the traditional narrowboats with cargo: nowadays it's tourists. But it still is an oasis of peace and quiet within the metropolis. 22 photos.
